NLICM Praise & Worship Vision Statement
The vision of the New Life In Christ Ministries (NLICM) Praise and Worship team is to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in a bold and exciting format through music, and to equip the Body of Christ to worship the Lord with songs of praise.
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye land…” (Psalms 100:1-5)
Our Praise and Worship Service is not only a time of singing, but also a time of verbal praise unto the Lord. Our desire and goal is to honor God first with our lives, and to encourage and direct the church in creating a worshipful experience.
“His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1).
Sometimes that means shouting praises or giving God a clap offering (Psalm 100). Worship is a very intimate and reverent expression of love to God for who He is. The Psalmist said,
“Come let us worship and bow down” (Psalm 95:6).
The NLICM Praise & Worship team is blessed by talented singers and musicians who love their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and love to sing His praises. Our passion is to teach those who will listen, that worshiping God is a lifestyle. We view our role of being a “vessel of worship” as a great privilege and honor, and we pray that our music can be a tool used by God to bring His children to a deeper relationship with Himself.
What is the NLICM Praise & Worship Department All About?
The Praise & Worship Team is led by Susan Capel, and our worship is contemporary. The team is a group of musically talented people who want to share the love of Jesus through music and through their lives. Our praise team is made up of a diverse group of people from all kinds of backgrounds, but when we all come together, we have one voice.
At New Life In Christ Ministries (NLICM), praise and worship is considered the bedrock of our ministry. In our Praise & Worship Team we emphasize our love and respect for our ABBA (Heavenly Father) as our first priority. This is our worship, which in return, deepens our love for Jesus Christ and shapes our character.
Scripture say’s that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). And time and time again, we have witnessed that whenever God’s people praise His name, whenever we open our mouth and speak well of our God, He always blesses us with His wonderful presence.
NLICM Praise & Worship Objectives
The words “Praise” and “Worship” mean two entirely different things, yet we use them interchangeably. Often we tend to think that praise means fast songs and worship means slow songs. However, praise and worship are not based on tempo – they are based on the words spoken and expression given.
Our objectives are:
- To establish and maintain a place of worship where people can praise and worship God in an atmosphere of love, joy and peace.
- To regularly lead the assembly of NLICM church members in praise and worship, teaching the Word of God through the means of song and music, and for fellowship.
- To spread the Good News of the Gospel through song and music.
- To Act with charitable concern, helping those who are in need in both spiritual and practical ways.
