Today, Easter Sunday is a transitional day for the world. The world switched from BC to AD. Today we celebrate the transition from death to eternal life when Christ arose from the dead after paying the penalty for our sins in His own body on the cross of Calvary and became a substitute and curse for us. The transition was a divine exchange from sinner to righteousness, from poverty to true riches in Christ. Hallelujah! He is risen in deed. And because of His sacrifice all who believe in Him will be the forever changed. We have right standing with God, because God’s wrath was poured out on His Son Jesus Christ for us. Today symbolizes the victory Christ has given us and taken the sting out of sin, death, hell and the grave. Satan was defeated over 2000 years ago and is still defeated because of the greatest story ever told, about the greatest offer ever made, by the greatest person that ever lived, Jesus Christ who still lives today. Thank God for His grace. We did not, could not and cannot earn or deserve salvation. He freely and willingly laid down His life for ours. His love for us paid it all and we will be forever indebted to Him who paid a price He did not owe, for a price that we owed but could not pay.

Grace paid in full. Jesus came full of grace and truth. (Jn1:14, 17) Let’s rejoice and celebrate the transition from darkness to light, from slavery to freedom, from sinner to saint and from death to life. Praise God.

Greetings and welcome to our first bi-weekly newsletter. I am excited about what the Lord is doing and would like to share with you some of the great things I believe He has in store for every blood washed, born again, child of God and our church through this bi-weekly newsletter. We are progressively being changed from glory to glory. With change comes challenges and also God’s grace to supply us with everything we need for the journey. God is always moving! He never stands still, sleeps or slumbers. So let’s walk in the spirit as He leads us on to higher ground and better pastures as the Good Shepherd. I am already being transformed. My life will never be the same, and neither will yours if we keep in step with the Spirit.

I want to thank everyone including the church that sponsored our Comedian and Curry evening, for their love and generous support for my mission trip to Bulgaria the week of the 19th. Because of your giving in donations toward the trip I almost doubled the required amount. Instead of the original £800 needed a grand total of over £1500 was raised. Some donors gave anonymously through the college which also greatly helped our efforts to be a blessing to the disenfranchised and impoverished in Bulgaria. I want to commend you on your giving. We at the college prayed and called in the finances and God did exceedingly and abundantly above all I could ever ask or think. Thank you so much for sowing into my life and the lives of so many others. God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which you have showed toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (Heb 6:10)

To God I give all the glory for such a wonderful, joyful and tearful experience. Fulfilling the great commission in Matthew 28 gave me the greatest sense of completeness in knowing that we were obedient to His word and call. We were moved with compassion as we saw how the Roma people lived and were openly and unfairly discriminated against and marginalized. They were poverty stricken and in hunger in more ways than one. The enemy would love for us to focus on those negative points. However, we could clearly see that only the true gospel of Jesus Christ would satisfy their every need and desire. They were hungry for the truth and the Truth made them free. They prospered as we (students of Charis Bible College) ministered the full gospel with many signs and wonders accompanying His word.

Time or space does not allow me to begin to tell it all but hopefully this titbit of information will warm your appetites to come for our Mission Sunday in the near future where we will have pictures and testimonies from some of the students that went on the trip. Chance and Dee Dee Galloway, the missionaries in Bulgaria, will be in Harrogate on the 14th -15th. They are excited about coming and want to share with you of how you have helped to impact the pioneering and edifying work being accomplished through their ministry to the Roma people. I am working on details to see how we can best accommodate them on a weeknight. Listen out for details in our upcoming services. These apostles are full of wisdom and anointing. Whatever is arranged make every effort to be there. You’ll be so glad you did.

Just one reminder before I close. Remember the blessing of Abraham which is also ours as the seed of Abraham. (Gal 3:14) You are blessed to be a blessing. (Gen 12:2) Now go and live it out. Bless people wherever you go because God the “blesser” is with you.
